Granada (part 1)...
Oh dear. It’s been so long since I wrote a blog post about our time in Spain that I’ve completely forgotten what I wanted to write about Granada. The whole point of writing was to help me remember… Oh well. What I do remember is that I loved Granada. I loved everything about it. The Alhambra was everything I expected and more. The beautiful little streets and white washed buildings climbing up the hill were wonderful. The place itself felt like a crossroads of culture (which of course it is). Lovely and perfect and old.
And since I can’t remember what I was going to write, here are some pictures.

Cordoba (part 2) The Mezquita
The stunning Mezquita in the heart of the city, is a remarkable building – a large mosque (once the largest in the world) with a Catholic church inside it. It is one of the earliest and most beautiful examples of Spanish Islamic architecture. It was much more impressive than I expected it to be.
